Highlights
Avi Image Support
Avi is an image codec similar to PNG and JPEG. It guarantees the same quality as JPEG, but with a significantly reduced file size. It uses the AV1 codec originally introduced in Android 10.
Project Mainline Improvements
Google announced that the art will be incorporated into the mainline of the project, available for download through the Google Play Store. Other modules are also being added.
Application Optimization
Other app optimizations include Google preventing background programs from starting foreground services. Latency and task assignments also change, which can improve performance.
Multi-channel Audio
Android 12 now supports mpeg-h passthrough and offload. The total number of channels for mixers, resamplers and effects is now up to 24.
8K Decoding
8K provides a higher resolution, which also means that the 8K H96 MAX TV box can display pictures with more information, whether it is fonts, character skins or the details of objects on the pictures will be displayed more clearly.
WiFi6 and Gigabit Ethernet Port
H96Max V58 supports Gigabit Ethernet port, which means that you can enjoy ultra-fast file download and transfer speed while ensuring the stability of download.

Nice device. Great performance. My only complaints concern the os that urgently needs an update. Too many bugs.

The only gripe with this applies to many of these boxes — the remote is garbage and needs to be replaced. In fact, mine is still in the box with this box performing beyond admirably. It has functioned incredibly well — no issues and the only time I’ve had any hiccups were when the internet or the power were interrupted (twice we had ISP issues where the net died and once when my apartment building went dark for electrical panel replacement). Beyond that, no issues whatsoever. Watched YouTube tutorial and was able to put apps needed on this device. All is working perfect for watching movies and tv.

In fact, I need to replace another box that died (one I’d purchased 18 months before this box) and I actually considered buying this box again — but I think I will opt for a newer model as technology advances. But if you’re considering this box and the dollars aren’t a problem, you can’t go wrong. And for the one above who had an electrical issue, either use the proper adapter or be honest. This box may very well be garbage but there’s a reason why there’s one incredibly negative ad from a questionable source and a bunch of good reviews from all over the place. Common sense should prevail. It did for me when I decided to buy this box, and I’m pleased with my decision — hopefully you will be with yours.

Nice little unit for watching tv. I slapped an stb emulator on it and it opperates much smoother than my MAG254. It is not nearly powerful enough to run Minecraft on a tv for the kids though.

Item just as described. Arrived when promised. Very simple to use and works perfectly.
