This is my first instant camera from the Fujifilm line and chose the Instax Square format over the Instax Mini. It’s a great camera and is super easy to use. My only minor issue is that you cannot turn off the flash, but it’s certainly not a dealbreaker. I also love the “selfie” feature. I’ve gotten quite a few compliments on the blue color of the camera body. Overall, a wonderful camera at a great price point.

Really enjoying this camera. Best Buy made the purchase easy. I do wish the refill film wasn’t so expensive. Having this for family days out is really a fun experience.
CrystalM –
I love it camera is the perfect size. Love the color and it’s pretty good picture quality
Nate –
Love this camera very easy to use which it could get higher exposure but all in all a step up from the instax mini. But I can say if your going for a more classic film look on your photos, I’d go with an older Polaroid or even other point an shoots.

I will start saying I have my BFA in Photo Image Making (analog/film photography). So I will say when it comes to photography I have enough experience with cameras.
This camera is a great intro to Instant film cameras. It is different from the Fujifilm Instax Mini which has rectangle film vs the Square film this one has.
The size of this film is smaller than your traditional Polaroid film ( if you are interested in knowing the exact size there is measurements in the specifications).
This one is pretty straightforward when it comes to use. I tried the Selfie selection on the lens but it was slightly underexpose. This could have been from not allowing the flash to charge long enough.
Usually if you have problems with an instant film camera it is usually due to low battery or bad film.
I let my 5 year old niece take a couple of packs of film and she took some really great phots.
IF you are looking for a replacement of your old Polaroid camera, just know this is going to be very different same concept different company. Fuji created an instant camera when Polaroid was still making film. They even created another option for Polaroid’s peel apart instant film when Polaroid ceased manufacturing their film. When I used Fuji I knew I was going to get consistent result and quality film, however, I also knew from experience Fuji film has a more cool tone hue vs Polaroid and Kodak’s warm tone film.
Polaroid has started manufacturing new instant cameras and film to go with but I have read a lot of reviews mentioning inconsistencies.
I have the Instax Mini so I knew the only difference for this one was the square format.
If you are set on the old Polaroid and prefer what you remember this might not be for you, but if you are open to something new that is easy to use with reasonably priced film I would recommend.
