I have 2 of these in my theater room. One wireless and one wired. Both ways work and sound great! Clear controlled tones. No annoying humming with a very simple app that makes it easy to control. Only annoying thing is having 2 apps to control the system. (pre-amp and sub app). Covers are a bit difficult to keep in place.

My biggest takeaway: ARC isn’t just marketing lingo… It’s a legitimately awesome feature that makes a VERY noticeable difference. I imagined it would make a small difference, but after setting up and toggling ARC, it’s a killer feature that will have you sold on it the moment you hear it.
I have some audio treatment in my room, but it’s not perfect, especially for the low-end. ARC really helps fill in the gap in my acoustic treatment.
Alright, now on to the rest of the sub… Clean, tight bass, with some great control through the app which helps with tuning to your taste.
Sounds and feels fantastic.
Price-wise, there are subs with better specs for the money. However, it’s hard to quantify the value of something like ARC.
Movie, music, and night modes all work well and perform as you would expect for each application.
If you get this, you won’t be disappointed!

This purchase is to replace a ML Dynamo 700X. The 1100X is a bit larger with a 12” woofer compared to the 10” woofer of the 700X. Another difference is the amp size with 3x the power. The 1100X fills a large space with powerful, yet melodic bass whilst delivering realistic thunder and explosions from the LFE channel. The best features I like about the 1100X are the Anthem Room Correction (ARC) and the Bluetooth MartinLogan Subwoofer Control App.
ARC tames the standing waves in your room by tuning the sub to your listening chairs. You can use a separately sold mic and computer with ARC called the Perfect Bass Kit (PBK) or download an app to your iOS or Android device and utilize the built in mic to perform the measurements. Quickly and easily, the app tunes the subwoofer via Bluetooth and you’re good to go.
Matching your subwoofer level to your system level is simple using the ML Subwoofer Control App. You can either utilize an SPL meter and the app to adjust the 1100X level or run your AVRs internal room correction to tune your system. The app allows you to adjust several aspects of the 1100X such as phase, 25 Hz level, and overall level. I use this app daily as it has listening modes for Movies, Music, and Night. If I want more bass, I simply adjust the level to exactly what I want from my seat. Bass sounding thin, adjust phase on the fly by increments of one – not hard presets.
As for the 700X, I moved it to my office and connected it to the Sonos AMP I use for two channel music and radio. The sub still works fine. The Bluetooth transmitter failed after about 10 years and ML no longer makes it which necessitated the move to the 1100X.

This thing is absolutely amazing! The App control is pretty awesome as well.
