I bought to complement my KEF R500 speakers as I didn’t want to spend $1K+ on the R Series Atmos speakers. These sonically match well and significantly open up the soundstage of Atmos soundtracks. Materials, finish and sound are all top notch. My only wish would have been for them to come in a piano black finish.

Lovely option when you can’t go for in ceiling speakers. Will add two more for 5.4.2 configuration. Felt a bit pricey.

Dolby atmos set up with Kef speakers, highly recommend.

Awesome sound. Deep, rich. So life like. It is like being in a movie theater.

Excellent sound quality for Dolby Atmos speaker setup. I added this to the home theater that runs Denon receiver with Bowers & Wilkins 600 series speakers and Rhytmik Subwoofers; a 5.2.4 Atmos system. These KEF speakers blend seamlessly with the Bowers & Wilkins. The design is very clever with foam under the edge of the speaker dust grill to ensure that the sound fires upwards to reflect back down or if you mount it on the wall then the grill will help with sound staying at desired height – little details were well thought through and designed. Solid built quality. Overall the best part is how seamlessly these speakers blend with the existing Bowers & Wilkins system, maybe it is because both speakers use Aluminum dome tweeter. Aesthetically the Black color blends with standard Black home theater speakers. Net-net A+ and highly recommended!!!

Costly. Good quality. Very good acoustics. Atmos 9.2 is utterly amazing and these speakers are amazing.

Keep in mind when you add Atmos speakers you only get a little sound out of them until all hell breaks loose on your TV/Home theater. These paired well with my B&W speakers.
I had purchased the Klipsh Atmos speakers. No bueno .
All that being said try them and see. Best Atmos solution is ceiling speakers. This is a close second. I also recommend the B&W M-1’s are less money and just as affective.

My 2020 living room audio/TV set up was (still is) as follows: two front KEF q550 towers, one KEF q250 center speaker and two back surround KEF q150 bookshelf speakers all hooked up to a Yamaha 1080 AVR and Sony OLED TV using Audio Quest HDMI cables (do go for those ones- they ROCK). But I was missing something in terms of “being here” moment sound while watching movies, specifically in hi definition and 4 k…I researched a lot of Dolby surround add-on speakers and knew I would most likely have to add KEF q50a but nevertheless went for slightly cheaper priced speakers 8ohms and returned all of them. Finally I opened up my wallet and got these two bad boys settled on top of my q550 towers….WOW…just WOW amazing quality of added sound effects and clarity. Totally worth every penny if you already invested in this kind of a setup. I honestly do not understand reviews that claim the speakers are “underwhelming “. Perhaps those reviewers do not have a Dolby Atmos supporting receiver that can handle at least 100w? Who knows, but for those of you who are researching Dolby Atmos speakers, go for KEF q50a.
