This is great set of bookshelf speakers. I have seen and purchased a lot of audio equipment but this is my first time with DALI. I have heard the name in my past as premium brand and it does not disappoint. I currently only use my existing receiver/setup for vinyl.
The speakers look awesome and are a great edition to my home. I cant stop looking at them. I have the light oak color and they are just great with I think any décor. They are very well built and you will not find any flaws.. they look flawless. They are definitely made of real wood and you can feel the ever so light wood grain/texture. As you can see from my pictures the front of the speakers showing the tweeter and woofer look fantastic. My mouth literally dropped when I removed the speaker covers. I have noticed that I like the speaker covers off while I am playing music. If you look at the speaker covers and through you can see that there is a large plastic piece with holes which I guess dampens the speakers.
The speakers are super easy to install. Plug your two speaker wires in the back of each from your receiver (pre-existing) and you are ready to rock and roll! I really only listen to music 70s and older so these speakers really fit the bill.
The sound these speakers produce is phenomenal. I have always been a person who needs to listen to a speaker to understand but these are literally the best and if you are reading this then you are interested and I highly recommend these speakers. These speakers will get as loud as you could ever want without any disruptions or crackles. They are finely tuned and will bring crispness along with your favorite artists. Sinatra! King Cole! have come back alive with how great these sound. I should note that these produce robust bass but if you are looking for that thump you will need to pair sub to your receiver.
Great speakers and I will never be able to go back!

These speakers are nice in appearance. They are the front speakers of my 6.1 system in my garage (no center channel speaker [by choice]. I now have about 150 hours on this system with two DALI Oberon 3 speakers as my front mains. Two Definite Technology D9’s as my rear speakers. Two Klipsch Dolby Atmos side speakers. And a Klipsch R-80SWI subwoofer. I stream music by WIFI using a Wiim Pro Streamer thru a Topping D50S DAC, with D50 Linear power supply to DAC and Streamer. Then is amplified through Denon S970H integrated AV Receiver. Bottom line – these DALI’s are smooth and warm sounding. But they lack midrange. Tweeters are a pleasure to listen to- no harse highs. The 7” woofers add nice front base ( enhancing my small 8” sub). But, my rear D9’s carry the midrange notes. I used Audyssey room correction. This system sounds excellent for a work shop/ garage surround sound. I may be able increase the front midrange manually. Hope so. These Dali’s sure are silky-smooth and warm sounding. “That’s all I have to say about that.”

The best upgrade that I did to my home theater. They sound very expressive, not piercing.

Looking to step up your audio listening experience? Then look no further than the DALI OBERON 3 book shelf speakers. They are equipped with 29mm soft dome tweeter seamlessly integrates with the larger 7-inch SMC-based woofer, producing breathtaking highs, detailed and crisp mids and flawless bass.
Testing: I used Godzilla, Saving Private Ryan and Transformers for movie profiles and I used Techno, Classical and Rock music.
Outcomes: Movies delivered house shaking sound that was crystal clear and made me hear even the tiniest detail. The bullets whizzing by was very audible, the loud thumping of Godzilla walking and the gear grinding on transformers created an audio experience I have never enjoyed before.
Music wise Techno music was just a pure dream on these speakers as nothing was muffled by the bass and classical you could hear the individual strings being strung for music which was just pure crispness.
I couldn’t recommend these speaker enough if you are looking to elevate your listening experience, pick these up. They are now my Home theater and music listening center pieces!

For the purpose of my review, here is my current audio setup:
      Onkyo TX-SR705
      Sony UBP-X800M2 SACD/DVD-A/BD player
      Intel NUC HTPC
      Chromecast Audio (optical)
Pro-ject Debut Carbon Espirit DC Turntable
      Comparison listen: Grado SR325i headphones
Upon receiving the DALI Oberon 3 bookshelves, I was immediately impressed with the design of the speakers. My wife commented right away that the grilles look fantastic. The pattern of the light oak veneer looks great as does the white front face and the signature wood fiber driver. All of my listening was done with the grilles on and for the time being that is how it will stay – perhaps when my kids are older I won’t fret as much about tweeters being used as “buttons.” At 7″ woofer size, these are fairly large for a compact bookshelf but not overly huge by any means.
I was so excited to hook these up that I didn’t bother to change the disc in my Sony universal player – I saw that Metallica’s black album (on DVD-Audio) was already there and I just left it rather than going for something more acoustic! I disabled the other speakers in my surround setup and switched the receiver to “PureAudio” rather than re-calibrate the receiver for the new speakers. First listen – those iconic opening chords of Enter Sandman – OH MY GOD these speakers are bright!!! HUGE SOUND too, the soundstage was massive and open and created a much larger space than anything I’ve had in that room before (to be fair, nothing in DALI’s class has been in there). Great bass for a bookshelf speaker – enough to feel the thunder in your chest but not terribly boomy and not distorted as it reaches for the bottom end.
Next up was a huge change of gears – Miles Davis “Kind of Blue” on SACD. Here again I was amazed at the detail on every cymbal crash and especially the smooth sound from Coltrane’s sax. My usual Grado cans have a pretty distinct bright sound and they have nothing on the DALIs – the Oberon 3s just have a bright, detailed sound, but one that doesn’t wear you out. I then flipped through a few more SACDs and DVD-As (Ryan Adams’s New York, Bob Dylan Blonde on Blonde, Neil Young – Harvest, even Ludacris “Chicken-n-Beer”) and each time I felt there was more to hear on the DALIs and each time it was like listening to the album for the first time.
I then shifted to streaming music, my primary demo track being Avett Brothers – “Shame” where the DALIs again amazed me with the beautiful mid-range and open soundstage. As the banjo and upright bass join the track, the Oberons continued to blow me away (sorry for the pun, Avett fans). I was surprised to find that the Oberon 3s seemed to handle compressed audio better than my Grado cans – usually with compressed audio I find the detail on the high end gets tiring, but I didn’t have this problem with the DALI speakers. A few more tracks and I felt assured that the Oberon 3s were going to handle any compressed audio with aplomb.
After that first night listening, I’ve spent the weekend throwing whatever I can at the DALIs and have enjoyed every minute. LPs from Death Cab for Cutie and James Taylor (Plans, Greatest Hits) sounded great, the DALIs not exposing any weaknesses of the vinyl format and continued to bring that brilliant open, bright sound to the music. For movies, I first went with my favorite movie demo – Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix – the battle at the Ministry of Magic. The sound of a thousand windows crashing has never been better! Ditto for Tenet – the Oberon 3s handled the wide dynamic range and shifts from quiet dialogue to scattered gunfire and explosions as well as any speaker I’ve ever heard.
Final verdict; hands down the best bookshelf speakers I’ve ever heard. They handle a wide variety of music well, and are forgiving of lower quality formats while still having great detail and a huge, open sound. Beautiful design helps seal the deal for these being welcome in any home.

I was unsure of how these speakers would sound with my existing system, but they integrated pretty seamlessly.
      Pros:
      – Easy setup: I was able to get these plugged in with no issue. Also, I was able to quickly find my “sweet” spot for the placement of the speakers by having them pulled away a bit from the wall.
      – Big Bass: The bass is solid and powerful without taking from the overall clarity. With so many things to observe while listening, it was good to know that the bass didn’t compromise any other sound traits.
      – Elegant Look: Although sound is king, these speakers do carry a beautiful design that compliments any room.
      Cons:
Dependent on Grill: There wasn’t much to dislike, but I did notice that there was a large difference in sound quality when the grills were left off. Design-wise, I found the speakers more appealing bare, but I needed to keep the grill on to achieve the desired output that I wanted.
Setup Dependent: Just like any speakers, they will always be dependent on your existent sound lineup, room size, receiver, and etc. I have a simplistic setup, but I hope they fit in when I acquire additional speakers.
Overall, audiophiles or casual users should have a great, enhanced listening experience for the value.

I rarely rate products at 5 stars and this is the first time I have ever used or heard of the brand DALI. However, these DALI Oberon 3 bookshelf speakers absolutely stunned me and earned a 5 star rating.
The build quality of the cabinet and connectors is excellent and the sound reproduction is nothing short of amazing. The sound stage is very wide. Vocals are crystal clear and mids and bass are excellent. However, the bass is not ground shaking. If you do prefer earth quaking bass I would recommend pairing these with a good powered subwoofer. With that being said,  playing artists like Nora Jones, John Legend and even The Black Eyed Peas all sounded amazing. You will begin to hear sounds you didn’t even know were in the songs. Also, when the volume is cranked up these speakers can get really loud and show no signs of sound distortion whatsoever.
These DALI Oberon 3 bookshelf speakers have earned my highest recommendation. When used by themselves, or as part of a 2.1 system, I am confident they will absolutely wow you and all your friends. Great job DALI, you have just become one of my favorite brands.
